Map
Hello! The world map is the main component of our visualization. It's a heatmap that shows the amount of conflicts faced by a country, or the amount of alliances each country has formed since 1500. As the colors get darker the number of conflicts and alliances get larger. You can also select a country to know who it has faced and allied with the most. Have I told you you can hover over the countries to know more info!?
Bar Graph
The bar graph ranks the countries based on how many conflicts and alliances they had. When a country is selected, it shows a ranking based on the amount of countries the selected country has faced or allied with.
Time Series
The time series, positioned at the bottom of the screen, shows how many wars ocurred over the last 500 years (518 to be precise)! By the way, when you select a country on the map, the amount of wars that country has participated in is also shown in the time series. Be aware of the legend! It will show what country is currently selected.
